About Us

SkyBar Farm was born from a little girl's dreams at the age of 9, over twenty years ago. I have worked hard and dreamt big, and with the support of my family, husband, Jeff, my children, Zared and Morgan, and dear friends, my dreams are being realized. 

When my first foal was born in 1985, I knew then I never wanted to lose the feeling of elation and joy I experienced when that foal took her first steps in life. I also realized though the importance of breeding for quality animals. I strive through each foal to make it better, not only in conformation, but also in trainability, temperament and usability, than it's parents.

When the opportunity arose to purchase Larks Gold from two dear friends of mine in PA, I was elated. I had been away from breeding my own foals for some time and was just looking for the right time and the right horse. I would like to thank Teresa and Frank for the wonderful opportunity to purchase not only Larks Gold, but also my next up and coming stallion prospect Flash and his dam Babe. They have been a wealth of information and support for Jeff and I for many years. I just want to say thank you guys for helping us make this a reality.

Boarding and training has always been a joy to me. I love the camaraderie that comes with it, also the happiness in an owner's eyes when they see their goals realized and that they know their horse is getting the best care. Jeff and I are always looking for ways to improve and update our farm as well as making it easier for our boarders to enjoy their animals.

I try to make it out to as many shows as possible with our horses during the show season. I have had a wonderful time and now my children also get to experience the thrill of showing and I get to watch two of my own grow up in a world that they will learn respect, responsibility and to make sure they have fun every time they are at a show.
