September 13, 2001 At this time we would like to offer our condolences to the friends and family of those effected by the horrible acts of terrorism in New York and Washington.

We have compiled the following information to help you in making your daily business decisions during this time of crisis.

Customs offices in New York and New Jersey were closed on 9/11 and 9/12. We were able to transmit date through the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) as needed. The U.S. Customs service has reopened for business at Elizabeth, NJ and JFK Airport.

In addition, Customs has granted a Snow day for each of the days their offices were closed. This provides an additional day to file entries due on the days the offices were closed. New York Seaport

The Port of New York and New Jersey was closed by the U.S. Coast Guard for security reasons on 9/11 and 9/12. We have received notification this morning that the port has been opened to limited traffic.

All three major airports, Newark, JFK, and LaGuardia have been closed by the FCC, and will remain closed until further Notice.

Most warehouses and freight stations are open. However due to the closing of most major roadways, as well as most bridges and tunnels, it remains nearly impossible to move any freight.

We understand that all other U.S. Ports are operations under heightened security. Vessels are both entering and departing from most ports with U.S. Coast Guard supervision.

We ask for your understanding during these difficult times. Please realize that we are doing everything possible to expedite all shipments.
